The housing features a spill trough to deflect spills away from the display and control knobs. Electronics are sealed and enclosed to protect against harsh chemicals. An external support rod holder let you mount a thermometer, electrode, or burette. Units automatically adjust to large increases in speed to minimize stir bar decoupling. Stirring hot plates feature a LED light to warn you if temperature exceeds 140°F (60°C). Temperature display is adjustable in 5° increments and indicates when set temperature is reached. Separate temperature sensor will cut-off power if the unit overheats.
